What's new in August 2024?

In August 2024, we are pleased to unveil a series of updates aimed at enhancing your overall experience. Explore these new features to see how they can optimize your workflow and improve accuracy.

1. Formula Builder

We are excited to introduce a new feature called Formula Builder. This tool will allow users to input and manage formulas for variable deductions and allowances within payroll. By uploading your existing Excel formulas into our system, you can easily run batches of employees using various calculations. The output values generated—such as Service Charge, Commissions, Overtime Amount, Attendance Allowance, and Performance Allowance—will be seamlessly reflected in the payroll. This feature is designed to simplify the process and ensure greater accuracy in calculating variable payroll components. With Formula Builder, you’ll have a more efficient and flexible approach to handling complex payroll adjustments. We look forward to bringing this capability to you soon.

2. Change Logs in Expense & Advance Expense

We have implemented logging features in both the Expense and Advanced Expense modules, capturing approval logs and various levels of changes. These logs will now reflect the status of each change, including the individual who made the modification, as well as the date and time of the update. This enhancement aims to improve transparency and accountability, facilitating better tracking and auditing of expense-related activities.

3. Add Custom Note to Payslip

We have introduced a new feature in our software that allows users to add custom notes to payslips (on top of the default note from Payslip Settings), either manually or in bulk. This functionality can be pre-configured in the settings, applied individually during payroll processing, or managed in bulk via a spreadsheet upload. This enhancement streamlines the payroll process, offering greater flexibility in personalizing payslips. For further information, click here.

4. Restricting Admin from Changing Income Tax Settings

We have introduced a new restriction in Tax Settings under Payroll Settings to restrict the admins from changing whether income tax is applicable to employees or not. This measure is designed to ensure transparency, safeguard against unauthorized changes, whether intentional or accidental, and to maintain compliance with tax regulations.

5. Separation Status in Directory

The separation status, including "Level 1/Level 2/Admin approval pending," will now be visible in the employee directory for all pending separation employees. This enhancement provides greater visibility and helps streamline the tracking and management of separation processes, ensuring that you can easily monitor and address pending approvals.

6. Enhanced Payslip UI

We are excited to announce that we have updated the user interface for payslips generated from our system. This enhancement brings several benefits, including a more modern and streamlined design. Additionally, users now have the flexibility to customize the header color of payslips to match their company’s branding through the payroll settings. These improvements are aimed at providing a more personalized and professional experience. For more details on customizing the payslip background, click here.

7. Bulk Upload Arrear Days

We are introducing a new feature that allows you to add arrear days in bulk through Excel files. This enhancement significantly reduces the time and effort required for data entry, minimizes errors, and ensures greater consistency across records. It also streamlines the overall workflow, making the process more efficient and user-friendly. To learn more about this feature, click here.
