What is the difference between a mandatory and a flexi holiday?
A Mandatory Holiday is a holiday that employees are required to take. These are typically national holidays such as Independence Day (August 15th), Republic Day (January 26th), and Gandhi Jayanti (October 2nd). Your Admin will define and configure a fixed list of mandatory holidays for each calendar year.
A Flexi Holiday, on the other hand, is optional and can be availed at the employee’s discretion. You will usually be allowed to take a limited number of flexi holidays from a list curated by your Admin. These may include regional or religious holidays such as Onam, Parsi New Year, Christmas, or Eid.
