How do I assign the roster (shifts, half day weekly offs and weekly offs) for my entire team (individually & bulk-wise)?

Option 1: Individually:

  • Click on the “Roster” tab towards the left
  • Click on the “My Team Roster” sub-tab
  • Choose an employee
  • Click on the date you want to assign the roster
  • In the select type dropdown, choose if it’s a Full working day, Half day week off or Full day week-off
  • In the select shift dropdown, choose the shift and work location if applicable
  • Towards the right, you will see a “Repeat” toggle button
  • Click to toggle the button “On” and select the frequency for which the shift should be repeated. These include
    • Daily: this will cause the same shift to replicated for every single day going ahead from the original day selected; Example: If you mark Wednesday 23rd August 2017 as the “Day Time 9 am to 5 pm” shift (or whatever shift you have selected) and repeat “Daily”, then this shift will be replicated for every single day going ahead (including weekly offs)
    • Weekly: this will cause the same shift to replicated for that day of the week, every week going ahead; Example: If you mark Wednesday 23rd August 2017 as the “Day Time 9 am to 5 pm” shift (or whatever shift you have selected) and repeat “Weekly”, then this shift will be replicated for every Wednesday going ahead. This will usually be applied in the case of Weekly Offs and Half Day Weekly Offs if they remain constant
    • Monthly on same date: this will cause the same shift to replicated for that date of the month going ahead; Example: If you mark Wednesday 23rd August 2017 as the “Day Time 9 am to 5 pm” shift (or whatever shift you have selected) and repeat “Monthly on the same date”, then this shift will be replicated on the 23rd of every month going ahead
    • “Nth Day of the month”: this will cause the same shift to be replicated for that frequency and day of the month combination going ahead; Example: If you mark Saturday, August 11th, 2017 (which is the 2nd Saturday of August) as the “Day Time 9 am to 5 pm” shift (or whatever shift you have selected) and repeat “2nd Saturday of the Month”, then this shift will be replicated on the 2nd Saturday of every month going ahead. Note: If you would like to create a policy where the employee gets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month off, then you would need to repeat this process twice for both the 2nd and the 4th Saturday separately.
  • Now you will have to select the “Ends on”, which is when the shift repetition pattern should end. In this case, you have two options which are
    • “Never”: which means that the shift continues in perpetuity unless changed otherwise
    • “On”: here you will be able to select a date by when you would like the re-occurrence of the shift pattern to end by

Option 2: Multi-select Option

  • In case you want to assign a roster for multiple people towards the right, you will see “Multi Select” click on the off button and toggle it to the “On Position”
  • Once the toggle button has been turned on, select the date and employee you would like to assign the roster for. You can select as many cells as you want.
  • Once the cells have been selected, next to the toggle button, click on the “Bulk Actions” drop-down
  • Select the choose Assign Multiple Rosters and follow the steps for assigning Roster as highlighted in the individual assignment section
